ChemTec is a division of ChemArt, which was founded in 1976 by Richard Beaupre, a pioneer in photo chemical machining.
Mr. Beaupre, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, was the originator of aqueous dry film photo-resist which is used in PCM imaging applications. Today, all dry film applications used in photo chemical machining are based on his original research.
ChemTec has become a recognized leader in the manufacture of precision etched components utilizing Richard’s unique and innovative process. We are a vertically integrated company, located in Lincoln, RI, with two facilities covering over 55,000 square feet.
ChemArt, which encompasses the ChemTec division, received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 certification in December 1995. In 2001, ChemArt become the first Rhode Island company to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification, and subsequently proceeded to ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2009.
Today, ChemTec maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification.
